Guitartropolis is a site by guitar players for guitar players.
We can talk shop about playing guitar with working professional, semi-pro and hobbyist guitar and bass players. Guitartropolis is that place where guitarists and bassists come, hang out, and talk shop about guitars. Like a jam session, Guitartropolis offers everyone the freedom to share their ideas, skills, questions and stories.
You may be a professional yourself, or you might be just beginning your guitar playing journey -- either way, Guitartropolis is for those who have a deep passion for playing guitar.
So lets jam! Here are some of the topics Guitartropolis covers:
- Learning - Lessions and Discussions
- Gear - Guitars, Amps and Accessories
- Mental Game - Thoughts and Perspectives on Guitar Playing
- Technique - Technical Aspects of Playing Guitar
- Recording - Home Studio and Professional
- Experiences - Learnings From All Kinds of Venues and Playing Experiences
Content: Guitartropolis contributors are professional and working guitarists and enthrusiasts who play, learn, practice, and enjoy the guitar nearly every day. Our first two contributors are Mitchell Ashley and Michael Reese, guitarists and friends who frequently collaborate, record and play guitar together.
Community and Guest Contributors: If you like writing interesting stuff about guitars and guitar playing, we're interested in talking to you! Contact me at mitchell@guitartropolis.com about contributing your content to Guitartropolis.
Participate: Please! You're encouraged not only to read what's here on Guitartropolis, but also to contribute your comments and expand the Guitartropolis community by telling others about the site.
A Little History: Guitartropolis is the second generation of the site originally called "Guitar Players for Christ", begun in 2008 by Mitchell Ashley. Rather than writing alone, Mitchell decided to go a different direction and create a site where multiple contributors could collaborate and free offer their views and ideas about a wide range of topics related to playing guitar. Most importantly, Guitartropolis is about creating a supportive environment where a community of guitar enthusiasts can come together to create great things together.
